Beenie Man tops music awards
The event, which is the brainchild of Jamaican-born, Chicago-based Ephraim Martin of Martin's Interculture, was hosted by radio disc jockey, G. T. Taylor. Singers Luciano, Derrick Harriott, Errol Moore, Everton Blender, Mikey
General, Singing Melody, Dean Frazer and his All Star Band, Frankie Paul, Spanner Banner and international sensation Morgan Heritage, delivered good performances which had the patrons at the event, cheering in delight.
Currently on a promotional tour of North America, Virgin recording artiste Beenie Man, emerged as the big winner with three awards. Multiple winners included Singing Melody, Luciano, the Firehouse Crew, Bounty Killer, Morgan
Heritage and Beres Hammond.
