    Iley Dread

A lot of effort is being put into the creation of the music video for singer Iley Dread's current single Mama. The video is being shot in three different locations and is being directed.

"I am doing parts of it in Africa, a part in Canada and a part in Jamaica. The song is very special to me. Therefore I have to ensure that whatever goes with it meets the standards which will appeal to people all over the world," he told Showbiz. He said the video will be enjoying a summer release.

  • 'It's Not Over Yet' doing well

Glacia Robinson's single, It's Not Over Yet is reportedly doing well, charting locally and in overseas markets.

"We have had to record 2,000 copies of the single recently and sales are going well in the Caribbean and Miami. The shows have also been pouring in. Sometimes I have three mission performances on a date. I am pleased that I am able to go forth and do God's work," the singer said.

She is still working to complete her album.

  • Dancehall music with a difference

Wayne Marshall's newest release, Girl From Columbia has been getting rave reviews from his peers in dancehall. The single showcases Marshall's uncanny ability to both deejay and sing in different stylings and is set to revolutionise dancehall music.

"The song gives me the chance to show off skills, style and originality that I know I can bring to dancehall. I was able to both deejay and sing in different styles and my idol, Bounty Killer, loves it. I expect big things from this song ", Wayne Marshall said.

The single has now been released on 45 on the JAM2 Productions label.

  • Cutty Ranks releases new album

Cutty Ranks will be releasing a new album on the King Jammys label and one of the tracks features a combination with the late reggae great Dennis Brown.

The track is called No More Will I Roam which has already been released under the portfolio of the Jammy's label.

"This album is the real thing. I have a wicked tune called Eye For An Eye with new sensation Wayne Marshall. WARD 21 does some backup vocals for me, plus the Dennis Brown combination which is in demand," he said.

Other tracks include combinations with Miami-based American group Liberty City. There is a variety of stuff, fun tunes for girls, some hardcore stuff and some message tunes," Cutty Ranks said.

The lead-off single is Shake The Ting.

  • Album in progress

The Love Doctor Beres Hammond is presently in the studios completing tracks for his upcoming album.

"I don't know what the album will be called yet, nor which songs will be on it, but I am just mixing the stuff I've done so far. I expect the album will be ready for a Fall release," he told Showbiz.
