Bullock, Chin in final

THE All-Jamaica Junior Squash Open tournament swung into action at the Liguanea Club, New Kingston on Friday afternoon.

Play is being contested in age group categories: Boys and Girls Under-19, 17, 15, 13, 11 and a novice category.

The tournament climaxes today with 12 finals scheduled between 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. after which there will be a luncheon and prize giving ceremony.

Top seed James Bullock will meet Kyle Chin in today's boys Under-19 final after both players amassed 12 points.

In their matches yesterday, Bullock whipped Michael Anderson 3-0 (9-0, 9-0, 9-0) and Chin dismissed Omar Sterling 3-0 (9-1, 9-6, 9-4).

Chris Binnie will meet Brad Low in the boys Under-15 final after they topped their respective groups.

In finals completed yesterday: GIRLS - Sandra McLeod topped the Under-11 category with 12 points over Christene Bell with seven.

BOYS: Binnie topped the Under-13 category with 18 points ahead of Kristian Sasso (13) and John Bailey (seven); Jordan Hanson captured the Under-11 category with 10 points over Jared Lewis (nine) and Darren Lewis (two).

Meanwhile, Alex Mortimer topped the Novice section with 10 points; one more than Ben Mortimer.
