'Fully Loaded' for Internet broadcast

OWNER OF the Def Jam label, Russell Simmonds, will be filming this year's Fully Loaded show on Sunday, July 30 at Fort Clarence Beach for a delayed web broadcast.

"He wants to videotape Fully Loaded for his Internet company and send it to his Internet site to be broadcast afterwards," said Sharon Burke of Solid Agency, organisers of the show.

"Simmonds figures it would be a great opportunity to show people how rap artistes perform in a purely dancehall environment and because so many rap artistes are billed for the show, he wants to come and tap into the vibe," said Miss Burke.

Some of the top notch acts confirmed for the show include Wyclef Jean, Spinderella, Treach of Naughty by Nature and Drag-on, a member of the high-powered Ruff Ryders crew.

Drag-on is known for the singles, Ride With Me and Spit These Bars, with Swizz Beats.

The show is renowned for its roster of rap artistes over the years, including DMX, who 'blew up' at Fully Loaded in 1998.
