Deejays robbed!

Roundhead and powerman

SEVERAL entertainers were robbed at gun point, of cash and jewellery as they hung out at the Mixing Lab Recording Studio, on Dunbarton Avenue, Kingston on Tuesday night.

Immediately following that incident, another entertainer, Andre Sukku' Grey of Ward 21 was also held up and robbed of his car, valued at $750,000, a cellular phone a gold chain and other important documents along Trafalgar Road.

Grey is believed to have been robbed by the same gunmen who hit the Mixing Lab.

Captain Barkey, Roundhead, Fargo, Delly Ranks, Powerman, General B, Boom Dandimite, Bling Dog and Anthony Malvo among others were standing outside Mixing Lab when four men in a silver Mitsubishi car with tinted glass alighted with guns and robbed them.

The police confirmed the robbery involving Grey, but they had no information on the others as the entertainers have not reported the matter.

Constable Benjamin of CCN, however, said the same car was involved in a number of robberies recently.

One of the entertainers who requested anonymity told THE STAR that he along with the others were standing outside the Mixing Lab at about 10 p.m. talking when the car pulled up.

"The whole a them had guns and them come out and a say de whole a uno go gainst the wall," he explained.

He said the men then stripped them of their jewellery and cash. Roundhead was the only one who received injuries after he fell and injured his mouth while running away from the scene.

"I don't know if they wanted to kill us but I guess if they wanted to they could," he said.

Powerman one of the deejays involved told THE STAR that everyone in the group were wearing chains valued at no less than US$1,000 each and that all of that plus their money were robbed.

"Right now me just glad say me have me life. After the incident me did just drive off because me did vex say me never leave before all a that happen," he said.
