Too much begging going on

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I AM greatly distressed to see the large amount of persons begging in our country today. They can be found virtually everywhere, especially in the Corporate Area. I acknowledge that the government cannot help everyone but when I hear how much money is spent on other things by the government I just wonder, are we getting value for money? The government needs to concentrate on the people, because they are hurting badly. Yes the cash reserve ratio is high but that means nothing to a hungry mother and child!

That, to me, is the greatest failing of this administration, the people's needs are not being addressed quickly enough. We need growth, jobs and movement in the economy. Now I'm sure that the Prime Minister is aware of what is happening, or is he?
