C&W and call restrictions

THE EDITOR, Madam:

KINDLY OBLIGE me by allowing me to bring this to the attention of all telephone consumers. I think it is now germane that C&W make the technology readily available to allow consumers the option of restricting their phones at times to make local calls only (intra parish) and at other times long distance calls (inter parish).

Point in fact, I called C&W several times about the matter.

However they responded by saying that a sufficient number of persons would have to be asking for that kind of service before they can seriously consider the request. The cost of the service should now dictate the urgency for that option.
