Moravian heads meet in Kendal

MANCHESTER

A HOST of clergy and laity of the Moravian Church in Jamaica headed by Bishop the right Reverend Robert Foster gathered at the Kendal Conference Centre in Manchester recently for an all-day convention. The theme was: "Sowing beside all water for the Lord".

Guests speaker Reverend Everald Allen of the Brown's Town Baptist Church in a brief departure from the theme addressed the crime situation in the country. The Church he said needs more now than ever to influence the behaviour of the populace through social action with an interactive process.

The function included a moving worship during which 120 certificates were handed out to members trained in soul winning, the dedication of the cheers, two items titled 'singspiration' and a gospel service. Presiding were the Right Reverend Robert Foster, Reverend Stanley Clarke, Reverend Levi Watson, Director of the Jamaica Moravian Missionary Movement (JMMM) and Sister Beryl Foster and Reverend Devon Anglin. Organist were Reverend Authur Henriques, Mrs Nikita Gaynor and Mrs. Doreen McDaniel.
