The herd of Elephants!

By Ingrid Brown, Staff Reporter

AT age 25, Oneil 'Elephant Man' Bryan, is the father of 10 children!

While this may sound unrealistic, Elephant Man says it is quite true as he can often be seen hanging out with most of them.

The children's ages are 7, 5, 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, and one a few months' old. There are six girls and four boys.

"Me give me Mama a few let she keep them, and me give my grandmother few, too, so me get to see them most of the time," he said.

When asked if all the children had different mothers, Elephant Man put on his usual boyish grin but declined to answer.

"Is pure trouble you want to bring on me, you know," he said.

Despite the fact that they don't all live with him, Elephant Man says he believes he is a good father.

"I am a good daddy and I try to spend time with them. I just send for one from Miami to spend some time with me," he said.

Having learnt from experience what it means not to have a father around, he is ensuring the same fate doesn't befall his kids.

"I am making sure all of them know their father all the while," he said, although he also declined to comment on whether there were other children he has not owned up to.

Some of his kids live in the United States but Elephant Man says he makes sure they all know each other.

"I have to make them mix and mingle with each other so I usually drive them around together so they get used to each other and if one get a cheez trix the others get too."

While he loves his children dearly, Elephant Man says he has no plans to father more as these 10 are already taking a huge bite out of his finances.

"Them really cost me a lot of money because I have to buy them clothes, send some to school, doctor bill, baby feeding, clothes, and so on so it very costly," he said.

He also came down hard on some of his babymothers who he refers to as 'ginnals'. "Some of the baby mothers a 'ginnal' because they snatch the money and spend on dem self and not on the kids."

For now, Elephant Man says he is cooling off as he does not want any more children. This just may be wishful thinking as he said he had never planned for this amount but it happened.

"It is just nature me never plan fi it but a just so nature works," he said.
