Harry ToddlerTWO is the magic number in Harry Toddler's life.
The super-talented deejay whose single, Dance The Angel was all the rave in dancehall circles earlier this year, is a former member of the Scare Dem Crew.
He has already fathered two pairs of twins, Markel and Tashel (Tashel died soon after childbirth), Chevelle and Chevaughn, and his brothers are twins.
"One works at JPS, the other is a mechanic."
With his new album expected to hit stores in December, THE STAR sat with him under a june plum tree in the backyard of Mixing Lab to do an interview recently.
Q: How are you coping with the death of your daughter Tashel?
"It is hard but I have to cope and be strong. Her death happened at a bad time for me because one of my best friends, Phantom, was gunned down at that time, so it did mash me up. But I am healing now."
Q: Did your daughter's death urge you to change your life?
"I wanted to see my twins, so it hurt my heart when Tashel died especially since she was named for me. So I am a different person now, I can't take the pressure of the thump off fist thing. I want to concentrate on my music peacefully."
Q: Earlier this year there were rumours that you had a cocaine addiction. Is it true?
"No, I have never done hard drugs, only weed I smoke. Rumours started because I was hanging with the wrong set of man dem who are known to be users, but I've known them for a long time so when they roll, I roll with them. But that is something of the past."
Q: How is the present wave of violence affecting you?
"It's tough, real tough, I had an uncle who worked at Gemini who was killed recently, it's affecting everybody. I may come from the ghetto but I have never dwelled on violence."
Q: Is it true you are being courted by VP Records?
"Right now, VP has approached me to do some work with them. I am looking forward to working with them because of their great track record."
"I am working on some songs with power and meaning that can reach people. Singles like Sweet Mamama and A Wha We Want with R & B group, Front Page on the Elements."
Q: Is it true that you will soon be getting married?
"I will get married this December to Raquel Jackson, the love of my life."
Q: What's the deal with Scare Dem crew? Any animosity?
"No, it's just about love. When I see Bounty, I hail him and seh 'war angel', I see Ellie and hail him 'warrior', and I go check Dandimite at him yard all the time. We're cool. We had some good times."
Q: Do you have as many kids as Elephant Man?
"No, (laughing). I just have five, Theo, Chevaughn, Chevelle, Markel and Petrina who lives abroad. I get to spend time when they go over to my father, Charlie Jackson in Kencot."
Q: Any more kids on the way?
"No comment(laughing)."
Q: So do all the baby mothers get along?
"Nobody can't war, my baby mother dem can't war, and my wife (Raquel) can only screw, that's all."
