Info Exchange Ltd. to hold business technology forum

ON OCTOBER 5, Industry, Commerce and Technology Minister, Phillip Paulwell, will officially open a business technology showcase called "E-VOLUTION: The Internet as The Force of Change." This is a forum being organised by Info Exchange Limited to help lift business awareness of technology's role in delivering such high-quality customer service.

Info Exchange, one of Jamaica's eBusiness solutions provider, said that the showcase will comprise both presentations and displays, of some of the eBusiness solutions that the company has provided for those organisations, the methods used and the results achieved.

Exhibitors will include Cable & Wireless, JaRealty, the Jamaica Observer, and Fujitsu-ICL Jamaica. Also participating will be Info Exchange's solution partner, Microsoft Jamaica.

Info Exchange Chief Executive Officer, David Allen, notes that the forum's name - "eVolution" - has been generating much interest. As he explains it: "eVolution in the eBusiness sense, is defined as prolonged periods of calm, punctuated by periods of rapid change. We will be using the opportunity of the forum to demonstrate how Internet technology can be applied within that environment to ensure that customer service is never put at risk".

Presentations will highlight some areas of critical importance in advancing the use of appropriate business technology systems for competitive advantage and will range from "The Creative Economy: Information Management for the Competitive Edge" and "The Value of Back-end Readiness In The Superior Customer Service Delivery Method" to "Intellectual Capital & the Customer Centric Organisation" and "Enterprise Wide Security Issues & Strategies".

A panel discussion - exploring individual company experiences in sourcing and implementing technology solutions for their business enterprises - is scheduled as the day's final presentation.
