Shame, Father Ho Lung

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I WRITE to you in respect of an article in your paper dated Friday September 1, 2000, page D6, "Diary of a Ghetto Priest", by Father Richard Ho Lung, sub-titled "Forbes, Knight and PM should go".

What a piece of gross disrespect for our elected leaders by this priest. Maybe his next move will be to make horns of iron.

I would like to advise Father Ho Lung that the crime in Jamaica at this time is not new and these three persons named by him have done their best and Father Ho Lung is not God, contrary to what he has fooled himself to believe, and God Almighty promised that when men on earth have done their best, angels cannot do more.

The Bible tells me that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry" 1st Samuel, Chapter 15 verse 23.

God Almighty has promised that if My people that are called by My name would humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways and seek My face, then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.

I want to assure all Jamaicans that God has not changed His mind. If Father Ho Lung is at all a servant of the Most High God, he would not have spoken thus.

I am, etc.,

MELZADER ROBINSON (Mrs.)

Christian soldier
