Entertainment Diary
* The Classique Club celebrates its first anniversary at Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, on October 28, in the car-park. The show will feature acts like Ghost, General B, Singing Melody, Tony Curtis, Ninjaman, Capleton, Captain Barkey, Frisco Kid, the Potential Crew. G.T. Taylor will be selector on his G. T. Aggregation Sound.
* Courtney Walsh presents Celebration, a Caribbean Style birthday party featuring Stone Love, Squeeze and guest selector Simon Crosskill and Neville Burgess Bell at the Countryside Club on October 28.
* Humark promotions presents Fire In The Bay at Clemard's Park Sports Complex in Port Maria, St. Mary, on Saturday, October 28, featuring Stone Love and Echo Force Disco from New York.
There will be a variety of contests in which patrons can win walkmans, CD players and other goodies. Football and domino competitions will also take place. Guest artistes include Captain Barkey and Wickerman, Powerman, Baby Wayne and Tony Curtis.
* Fish and Bammy festival takes place at the JPS Power Station park, Old Harbour Bay, October 29, 2000. Featuring Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Admiral Bailey, Skyy Disco, the Potential Crew with Singing Crystal, Western Ranks and Lt. Brooksie and others.
* Jesus 2000 will be held at the National Arena on November 4-5 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. each day. The event which took place at the same venue last year saw 30,000 persons in attendance. To add to the excitement Jesus 2000 CD's and videos will be launched.
* Image Press International presents a night called Customers Appreciation Day at the Corner of Septimus Street and Bryan Street, Jones Town, on November 5. Artistes include Bounty Killer, Nitty Kutchie, Danny English, Fergie Dads, Singer Jay, Egg Nogg and others. Emperor Fire Link and Tony Matterhorn will provide music.
* Teen Summit 2000, the massive mid-semester concert for teens and the young at heart, returns to the Jamaican entertainment stage with a concert at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, Friday, November 17, 2000. The host Junior Tucker will open the show and other artistes like Chevelle Franklin, Lt. Stitchie, KG's, Prodigal Son, 31 Inc. and Mr. Goody Goddy will be performing.
Last year the Gibraltor Production launched the first Teen Summit dubbed "Are You Ready For Jesus" which drew a full house.
* Gaddaffi birthday bash takes place at Windsor Lawn, St. Anns Bay, November 11, 2000. This will feature of string of artites who have always supported the show. Startime is 9:00 p.m.
