Tucker

  • Junior Tucker in concert

    Music Minister, Junior Tucker will be the host at Teen Summit 2000 scheduled for the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on November 17. Joining him in the praise and worship affair, will be his colleagues Chevelle Franklin, Stitchie, KG's, Prodigal Son, 31 Inc. and Mr. Goddy Goddy.

  • Coco Tea's new release

    Reggae singer Coco Tea, is set to release a lover's rock single, True Love which was recorded at his Roaring Lion studio.

    "I penned the lyrics myself. It is a mellow song, recorded in the old-school reggae style that true fans of this art form will enjoy. It speaks about the string of brutal murders in Killsome City, and how the youths no longer know the meaning of the word called 'love', it is something to listen to," Cocoa Tea said.

    The single is slated for release on the Roaring Lion Recording Company.


    Shaggy

  • Shaggy makes Billboard

    Shaggy's latest album, Hots-hot had a disappointing start when the lead-off single fizzled soon after release.

    However, buoyed by the release of the second single, It Wasn't Me, it has bounced from relative obscurity to number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, and is reportedly selling well. The album clambered up to the #39 spot this week on the Billboard 200 charts.

  • 'Pier Vibes'on target

    Top flight singers and acts, Barrington Levy, Bounty Killer, Singing Melody, Innocent Kru, and Buccaneer are among the local acts, who will appear at the charity 'Pier Vibes' show this year.

    Top hip-hop stars and celebs are also set to ship wreck Pier Vybes, at Ocho Rios Pier, December 2 to save the children.

    "Pier Vybes is a charity show for the Jamaica Primary School Educational Fund, supported by Food For The Poor and will give scholarships to numerous talented children in rural Jamaica who cannot afford to stay in school," publicist Gregory McFarlane said.
