UTech's cultural showcase Thursday

THE CENTRE for the Arts at the University of Technology is to stage its annual cultural presentation on Thursday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Caribbean Sculpture Park, at the university.

This year's event will feature an impressive musical, titled Through The Eyes Of A Child, a look at the challenges faced by students and staff in an inner-city school and one person's dream and determination to make a difference.

The script was written by Dwight Sibbles, staff member and some of Jamaica's leading stage personalities, including Joan Belfon, Joan Andrea Hutchinson, Leonie Forbes, Majorie Whylie, Pauline Forrest-Watson, Monica Lawrence and Patsy Ricketts, will complete the production team.

The audience will also be treated to ancestral invocational drumming by Ras Happa and Jack Stuart.

Alwyn Bully, sub-regional cultural advisor at UNESCO is expected to bring greetings.
