JC Chapel Choir performs at Saxthorpe

CAROLE REID, soprano, will be the featured soloist this Sunday, when Jamaica College Chapel Choir, directed by Randall Campbell, performs at Saxthorpe Methodist Church, Constant Spring Road, Kingston at 5:00 p.m.

Miss Reid studied pianoforte and voice to grade eight levels at the Jamaica School of Music, under the tutelage of Marion Nakowsky, Jeanette Cross, Robert Williams and the late celebrated Joyce Britton.

Miss Reid sings with such groups as Christ Church, Vineyard Town, Diocessan Festival Choir, Y Choral Group, National Chorale of Jamaica and the National Dance Theatre Singers.

She is billed as the soloist in Felix Mendelssohn's Hear My Prayer and is to be lead soloist in Oh Holy Night, by Adolphe Adams

The Jamaica College Chapel Choir is expected to perform a number of works by such composers as Bach, Handel and Mozart as well as a number of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols.
