Disgusted with Air J, Sandals

THE EDITOR, Madam:

THIS LETTER is a reply to Mr Gordon 'Butch' Stewart comments and I can assure him that this is not from a false e-mail address or someone with a hidden agenda, but rather from a tourist that has been travelling to Jamaica since 1990 aboard his Air Jamaica.

I can assure him that I will never set foot on one of his planes again. I might also add that I have been also a paying guest at his Sandals chain of resorts for the same amount of time and that too will never happen again.

My latest trip this past September was one of the worst experiences of my life. An airline whose employees are neither professional nor helpful when the airline cancels your flight from a non-stop (tickets purchased six months in advance) to a stop-over, seats assignments given away, changing departure times without notification and employees with such poor attitudes I wonder how they ever got the job in the first place.

Being proud of one's national airline is fine as long as you do not allow it to blind you to the problems that exist. I challenge you, Mr Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, to contact me yourself and I will then detail the full reasons for my disgust with both your Air Jamaica and Sandals and why you have lost a faithful paying guest.

I am etc.,

MRS. BARBARA DANIELS
