It's not fake, Mr Stewart!

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I WAS so appalled when I read Butch Stewart's comments in this morning's papers. How dare he suggest that the letters that have been appearing are from fake e-mail addresses.

That is easy to prove, just send mail to those addresses.

Trust me, Mr. Stewart, my e-mail is not fake. My concerns about Air Jamaica are not fake. Air Jamaica's collecting of travel tax from us Jamaicans and not paying it over is not fake. Air Jamaica's owing over $600 million dollars to the Airport Authorities for landing fees etc., is not fake. The public's getting frustrated with you blaming the government for Air Jamaica's failure is not fake!

And now you want to put the blame for your failure on us, the Jamaican people? You say that our letters "demoralise your staff, compromise loans and erode the path to profitability".

Mr. Stewart, we didn't do that, you did!

I am etc.,
