SYDNEY (Reuters):
BRIAN Lara is set to storm back after a run of poor form, according to West Indies captain Jimmy Adams.
Adams, whose side are currently taking part in a one-day triangular tournament after their 5-0 Test drubbing by Australia, said: "I think it's a matter of time before Brian explodes.
"I'm quite confident of his ability to come good when it matters."
Lara, once regarded as the best batsman in the world and who holds the world record for both the highest individual test score (375) and first-class score (501), has struggled in recent seasons, during which he also had a short unsuccessful spell as West Indies captain.
The 30-year-old left-hander rediscovered some of his magic with an innings of 182 in the third test against Australia last month.
He finished the series, however, with a disappointing average of 32.
