ST. GEORGE'S College beat Kingston Technical by six wickets to record their first win in the Grace Shield schoolboy cricket competition yesterday at Clan Carthy.
Scores: Kingston Technical 126 all out off 46 overs; St George's 128 for four off 27.2 overs.
St. George's won the toss and sent Kingston Technical in to bat. Kingston Technical were in early trouble at three for 39 and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. However, an eighth-wicket partnership of 40 between Sheldon Nelson, five, and Jermaine Gordon, 20, saw them to a solid total.
Lloyd Gordon also contributed 25. Richard Johnson with 3-26, Leon Gordon 2-15 and Michael Jackson 2-20 were the pick of the bowlers.
St. George's, in reply, lost their first wicket with the score on 18 and the second at 46. However, a third-wicket stand of 74 between Leon Gordon, 59 not out, and Johnson, 29, put them back in a good position. Vernon Rowe was the other not out batsman on five.
AT LIME TREE OVAL: Towan Henry of Jonathan Grant Comprehensive struck a fine 110 against Wolmer's in their drawn game.

AT BRIDGEPORT: Kingston College recorded their second consecutive victory when they accounted for Bridgeport by seven wickets.
