ROUND TABLES covered with lily white tablecloths, accentuated by peach, yellow and white napkins and beautiful centrepieces, were spread on the lush lawn of the Terra Nova Hotel, Kingston, last Saturday for the 20th Anniversary Dinner and Dance of the law firm Rattray, Patterson, Rattray.
Under a blanket of stars, members of the legal fraternity, dressed in shimmering dresses and dapper suits, streamed in to celebrate with their colleagues.
Prime Minister P.J. Patterson arrived just in time for cocktails. After being greeted by the women at the receiving line, he walked over to Robert Russell, NDM spokesman on Tourism and Justice Clarence Walker where they engaged in a long conversation. The Prime Minister was later joined by his son Richard.
Prime Minister Patterson is one of the founding partners in the firm. The other two partners are Alfred and Andrew Rattray. Carl Rattray, also a founding member, is former president of the Court of Appeal.
Presentations were made to Joyce Dennie, Paul Brown, Cynthia Small and Alfred Rattray who have worked with the firm since its inception. They were honoured for their 20 years of service.
Guest dined on creme of pumpkin bombay with cinnamon croutons, smoked marlin roulade, oriental Caribbean lobster, chicken l'orande, country suckling pork, saffron rice and tropical spiced vegetables. For dessert there was vanilla cheese cake with starwberries.
