'F' curse word concerns Senator Johnson

Johnson

OPPOSITION SENATOR Anthony Johnson says he's concerned that the "F" word is creeping back into mainstream language.

Senator Johnson was speaking during a debate in the Senate on the regulations for the Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica Act 1997 on Friday.

He said he was concerned about the level of explicitness in which sexual matters were being dealt with these days.

"I don't know if you are aware, not only in Jamaica, but worldwide, the use of, what I will term, the 'F' word, has become pretty standard. One sees it, one hears it. There used to be a very definite proscription against its use.

"I've found that little by little it has crept into the mainstream of the language. I find it personally offensive. but that is me, obviously it is accepted."
