Where did the KC library go?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

TODAY APRIL 5, 2001, librarians and other information professionals from all over the world will celebrate International Special Librarian's Day. However, I wish to express my concerns not for Special Libraries, but instead, for school libraries.

Kindly permit me to voice my disappointment concerning the unavailability of adequate library facilities in our schools.

I am specially disappointed with the absence of library facilities for the students at KC, but as I understand it, the building that once housed the library is currently being used as classrooms.

I appeal to the Minister of Education, the principal and staff of KC, the Parent Teachers Association and most importantly, the usually very vibrant and active KC Old Boys Association to undertake the restoration and maintenance of the school's library as a special project.
