Have mercy on us and fix our roads

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MY COMMUNITY has one entrance Wedcombe Avenue, which can now be used by the military for obstacle training or an assault course. We are not the placard and chest-tearing, road-blocking, loud-shouting individuals but humble taxpayers who would like a little attention paid to our community.

Incidentally, having mentioned tax, those of us who happen to own a motor vehicle pay dearly by way of GCT in the repairs to those vehicles. The pensioners suffer the most especially those of us with no other source of income and having to pay tax on the pension.

Please Mr. Minister, please KSAC have mercy on us and fix our roads.

I am, etc.,

S.E.A. FOSTER,

President,

Shortwood/Wedcombe

Citizens Association,

6 Strathton Road,

Kingston 8
