Disappointed in commentary

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN RESPONSE to the column by A.W. Sangster, I would like to reply by saying that the words within your commentary were unjust and unsympathetic to the heartache and injustices that the slaughtered youth, their families and many more youngsters like them within our society have to endure on a daily basis.

I feel that you should not make such comments about the unfortunate individuals within our society unless you have truly lived the experience. I view your comments as being distasteful and uncaring or maybe you are just ignorant of the true facts of poverty, hopelessness, and distress faced by many; not only in Jamaica but throughout our world. But, with many like yourself their distress is of no concern to you.

I am etc.,

SHARON
