'Feminine Justice' this weekend

THE MONTEGO Bay Little Theatre Movement will be in Kingston for the staging of three benefit performances of the play 'Feminine Justice' at the Little Theatre on April 7 and 8, 2001. There will be one performance tomorrow beginning 8:00 p.m., and two shows on Sunday, at 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Written by the multi-award winner Basil Dawkins, 'Feminine Justice' depicts the story of a philandering insensitive husband who is badly injured in a motor vehicle accident on his way to visit one of his paramours. He is given a second chance at life, this time as a female and a maid.

Bordering on the metaphysical, the play addresses several social issues, including different types of relationships, spousal abuse and infidelity.

The production, which is directed and produced by Douglas Prout, features an all-Montegonian cast. Noted journalist Lloyd B. Smith plays the lead role, while Fleurette Harris, Paulette Spence and Tony Rodney are the other supporting members of the cast.

Sponsored by Globe Insurance Company of the West Indies Ltd., proceeds from the productions will benefit the Girls Brigade, Unity of Jamaica and Globe Sports Club.
