Inadequate system

THE EDITOR, Sir:

It is my view that the Government should seek international funding to help establish computer centres for primary school children and charge a nominal fee for use of these centres. Staffing for these centres could be provided by participants enrolled in the National Training Agency (NTA) computer training programmes operating in our community colleges.

Participants in this programme should be given assistance with fees etc. But required to enter into a bond agreement with the Govern-ment which would stipulate that they serve in the proposed computer centre for primary school children at the end of their training.

Editor Sir, the present system in place designed to offer computer training to our primary school children is woefully inadequate, therefore I think we should explore another avenue that will bear greater fruit.

I am, etc.,
