APART from their surname, their birthday and being brother and sister to a younger set of twins, Jerome and Talithe Townsend have little in common even though they are twins.
"When we were younger we had to tell people we were twins because one is cuter than the other and even when we told them that we were twins, sometimes they didn't believe us," Talithe Townsend explain-ed. "To make matters worse, we have never been in the same class while going through school."
The 21-year-old twins will be the first to tell you they don't have similar tastes. "No, we don't share anything, Jerome loves sports and I don't love sports better if you give me a job ," said Talithe. "I love natural juice because mi is a rasta man. But give her anything wah D&G mek (pointing to Talithe) and she wi drink it. She love soda but me love my natural juice," added Jerome.
The Townsends, who both reside at Old Harbour Bay, do share a love for nature. "I love animals but Talithe loves plants," said the reserved Jerome. As a testament of Jerome's love of animals, the older and more reserved of the two could be seen occasionally playing with some dogs that had gathered around him when THE WEEKEND STAR visited.
For the duration of the visit Talithe did most of the talking with Jerome nodding his head or disagreeing to what Talithe had to say.
Neither of the twins have children, but Talithe is closer to the younger set of twins than Jerome is. "We don't have any children but I always play with the younger twins and people think they are my children when they see us together," she said.
Though they sometimes argue, Talithe is happy she has a brother even though she has another preference. "I wish I had a sister even though I am happy I have a brother and a twin," she said.
