THE AWARD-WINNING Krazy Boyz Dance Group of Ocho Rios, St. Ann, has earned a spot in the national finals of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Festival of the Performing Arts, after a captivating performance at the recent Northern Regional Dance Finals at the St. John's Anglican Church Hall in Ocho Rios.

The seven-member male group was numbered among four schools and community groups that qualified for the national finals to be held at the Little Theatre in Kingston on July 19th and 20th. The Krazy Boyz received a JCDC trophy and a gold medal for the "Best Dance" of the day.

Also receiving medals were Parry Town Primary in St. Ann, who received two gold medals for their entries in the creative folk and modern contemporary categories. Other schools that qualified for the national dance finals are Marymount High in St. Mary and Manchioneal All-Age in Portland.

One silver medal each went to Boundbrook Primary, Port Antonio Primary and Novia Steele schools in Portland and Ferncourt High and St. Christopher's School for the Deaf in St. Ann.

Bronze medal recipients were Norwich Basic and Norwich Primary in Portland and St. Ann's Bay Primary. The schools were commended for their costuming and the dances' high level of creative content by Dance Adjudicator, Patricia Noble.
