A biased perspective on human rights

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PETER MYERS' Letter of the Day was one of the most biased summaries on the human right report.

For many persons, it easier to close their eyes at their own faults and criticise others. Shifting the focus from our problems is not the solution. With our human rights record we have no time to be doing that! We need to focus on our problems and let other countries solve their problems.

My advice to Mr. Myers, is that in the future, please provide a statistical comparison with your comments.

Making general statements without the data to support it does an injustice to the reader and doesn't solve our own human rights violations or justify them.

I am etc.,
