ZAGREB, CANA:

JAMAICANS Vonette Dixon, Brigette Foster and Ian Weakley grabbed top three spots at the IAAF Zagreb athletics Grand Prix II meeting on Monday.

Dixon placed second and Foster third, behind women's 100-metre hurdles winner Jenny Adams of the United States, while Weakley got third in the men's 400 hurdles won by Japanese Dai Tamesue.

Dixon, the 2000 US Collegiate Indoor 60-metre hurdles champion, ran 12.91 seconds, and Foster, winner at the Barbados Classic and Barrientos Games recently, posted 12.98, with Adams a convincing winner in 12.72 seconds.

Tamesue ran 48.57 seconds to land the men's 400 hurdles ahead of the Dominican Republic's Felix Sanchez (48.60) and Weakley (49.08). Jamaica's Neil Gardner was fourth in 49.30 seconds.
