PLATINUM RECORDING artiste Shaggy, along with recent Grammy award winner, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton and hot American solo artiste, Sisqo, are a few of the big names expected to appear at this year's Reggae Sumfest.
The show is scheduled for Montego Bay, Jamaica between July 31 and August 5.
The announcement was made at the official UK launch of the reggae festival at the Mezzo, Soho in central London recently.
Robert Russell, chairman of Sumfest Productions Limited, and planning group members, David Lindo and Johnny Gourzong, all flew in from Jamaica for the UK launch.
Mr. Russell told the audience that over the past five years Sumfest has developed into the best reggae festival in the world and should not be missed by reggae lovers.
The event begins on Tuesday, July 31, with the Sound System Night at Pier One to be followed by the beach party the following day, August 1, at the Rose Hall Beach Club. On August 2 the four-day festival begins at the main venue at Catherine Hall with the popular Dancehall Night.
Several packages are being offered for the event and they all include flights from Gatwick or Heathrow, accommodation, transfers and taxes. Hotels in Montego Bay are expected to be completely booked out for festival.
