Breezes wins prestigious hotel award

BREEZES RUNAWAY Bay Hotel, one of the SuperClubs chain of hotels, is the only Jamaican hotel to receive Thomson Holidays' prestigious Gold Award of Excellence for the year 2000 from the United Kingdom largest tour operator.

The award was presented on Saturday, to general manager, Cheddy Parchment, by Thomson Holiday's resort manager for the Caribbean and Jamaica, Sue Sumpter. The presentation took place at the resort.

Ms Sumpter commended the hotel for its commitment to the Caribbean leisure industry and for its reputation for good service.

In responding, Cheddy Parchment praised the staff for their commitment to the hotel and the tourism industry.

Thomson Holiday tourism Gold Award of Excellence is presented annually to deserving Caribbean region resorts, based on guests' questionnaires.
