11-y-o slain by cousin BLACK RIVER, St. Elizabeth: AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy was chopped to death in Spring Field, St. Elizabeth Sunday by a relative, who killed himself a day later. According to police reports, the boy, Mark Black, and his cousin Lloyd Black, 37, left home together to cut wood on nearby property for a coop the two were building. It is alleged that Lloyd used his machete to chop the boy, a student of the Spring Field All-Age School, all over the body, killing him on the spot. On Monday, a police party went to the district to apprehend the older Black, who ran when he spotted the law officers. Further reports state that his body was found some time later, in a tank of water. The police theorise that he had committed suicide. They had no possible motive up to then as to why Black had killed the boy. Police investigations continue.
