Remove undesirable elements!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN VIEW of the current events in our capital city the fact that everybody has the answer to the situation is made clear each day.

The problem, however is that no one seems to be able to give specific solutions. Everyone is just saying we should unite. How do we do this? Can illegal guns, drugs, criminals, abusers of power and law-abiding citizens unite? I think not.

I put it to you that the undesirable elements must be removed; of course in a legal and humane manner.

It is time that people in the music industry, politicians and the media realise the degree of influence they hold and that whatever they say and how they say it can be devastating. Jamaica we need to weigh our words before we utter them.

I am, etc.,

C. GAYLE
