WHEN THE show had ended, Teen Fest 2001 will be remembered for one thing all the artistes gave good performances and did not disappoint their fans. Performances from Wayne Marshall, the Innocent Crew, Sean Paul and the Dutty Cup Crew kept the audience on a high.
Innocent Crew's energy-filled performance set the stage for the acts to follow. They reeled off hits from the past and chatted freely with the audience. When they were through, there was loud uproar from the audience who welcomed the arrival of 'Chicken'.
Chicken too wasted no time in delivering his hits and when he saw that the crowd now wanted more he called on the Dutty Cup Crew who continued the hype. Kid Corrupt and Zumjay especially pleased the audience with their fast paced lyrics. Zumjay's tribute to Courtney Walsh went down well with the youngsters at the event. Wayne Marshall, one of dancehall's hottest acts, stamped his class with his performance of hit's such as "Bling Bling" "Weed Smoke" and "When The Smoke Clears". With the latter two songs he showed his versatility by doubling as singer and deejay.
Sean Paul soon joined Marshall on stage. He wasted no time in rolling off old hits, which had the crowd jumping. An appeal for peace by all the top acts ended the night's activities which had earlier seen good performances from upcoming acts such as Hot Shot Crew, Potential Crew and Murdock who came on with his sister Elicia.
