We must respect law and order

THE EDITOR, Sir:

FELLOW JAMAICANS let us respect law and order for the first time in our history of this beautiful country and let the police travel through any community free. Please stop the roadblocks and let them go through and check every house, home and all business places.

All law-abiding citizens should unite now to get rid of criminals, abusers, illegal guns and drugs because, who benefits? No one, you are just fooling yourselves.

Please put Jamaica first, not war, and do not support gunmanship to fire shot at the police; that cannot work, it must be shotta or we. Senior Superintendent Reneto Adam and his team must be congratulated on the fine work they are doing. Sir, you have our support.

God be with you and your men through your going out and coming in.

I am, etc.,

LEVI SMITH
