Massive clean-up programme at Mandeville school

MANDEVILLE, Manchester:

MANDEVILLE PRIMARY and Junior High School on Caledonia Road in the town of Mandeville, Manchester, is now undergoing a massive clean-up and beautification programme in preparation for the next school term.

A new perimeter fence donated by Tankweld Construction Company of Kingston and Fence Masters of Manchester, has been installed while workmen are busy getting the grounds ready. The security gates have been reinforced.

The Mandeville Primary and Junior school's high standard is reflected in the number of passes attained by its students each year.

Principal and former Jamaica Teachers' Association president Byron Farquharson had been soliciting the help of civic-minded persons and organisations prior to the end of the last school term, in his drive to achieve and maintain academic excellence at that institution.

The institution which operates on a two-shift system has over 2,000 registered students, which is expected to increase significantly when the new school term begins.

Mr. Farquharson told The Gleaner earlier this year that his quest to enhance the education process for each student passing through that institution will always be an ongoing one.
