GEORGETOWN, CANA:
JAMAICA, 41 runs ahead of Guyana on first innings, were eight without loss in their second innings at the close of the second day of their third round West Indies Under-19 cricket championship match at Bourda Oval yesterday.
Earlier Jamaica had boweled out Guyana for 229 to take a 41-run first innings lead.
The destroyer for Jamaica was spinner Wayne Simpson who bagged five for 58 in 39.3 overs. Wicketkeeper Junior Stewart also had a very good day snaring five victims behind the stump.
Adrian Persaud, batting at number eight, topscored with 43 for Guyana.
