Letter of the Day - The wonders of 'herb tea'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WHILE READING letters to the Editor today (August 22nd), David D'Apollonia's letter caught my attention.

Several years ago while my family was vacationing in Jamaica, my mom came down with a bad case of the flu. We requested of the hotel to get us a doctor but after hearing "soon come" too many times, we gave up.

A very wonderful worker at the hotel recommended a cup of 'herbal tea'. The next morning he came to my mom's room with said tea. Mom drank it and shortly fell asleep. Well, that sleep turned into many hours and after finally waking up, every trace of the flu was gone. We of course thanked the young man for this miracle 'herbal tea'.

He then informed us in the strictest of confidence that it was ganja tea. We were hysterical (laughing). Imagine my mom, a devout Christian, consuming ganja. Mom's gone now, but her grandchildren now get a real kick out of this story.

Young man! Wherever you are, thanks again.

I am etc.,
