In defence of SSP Reneto Adams

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN WAKE of the recent clashes between the lawmen and the gunmen and the outcome being the slaying of the seven victims in Braeton, I would like to advise the group calling themselves Jamaicans For Justice that the idea of calling for the resignation for Senior Supt. Reneto Adams and the others involved to be removed from front line duties is not the answer.

It is quite clear, that these lawmen exhibited heroism. Brutal, yes, but it was their strategic planning that was wrong.

Meanwhile steps should be implemented in offering overseas training courses for the police on overseas training seminars in crime nanagement. If Senior Supt Reneto Adams resigns does this group have someone better to replace him.

I don't believe that this lobby group knows the meaning of "Justice"
