Seaga's money woes

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE PNP has now made it clear that they will use Mr. Seaga's dire financial situation as a topic of discussion in the upcoming campaign. Because of that everyone is running around and acting as if there is any surprise. Let me remind everyone that this is politics, and in politics the weaknesses of the opponent are fair game.

The problem is not with the PNP, but with Mr. Seaga who has had ample time to tidy up his backyard but this has not yet happened. There should have been a plan to deal with these things if the JLP was exercising any political foresight.

What did Mr. Seaga expect? Did he think the PNP would sit down and not mention the fact that he has failed to pay his bills, and cost the taxpayer millions? That would not be the workings of a mind once reputed to have 'genius'

By the way, as a taxpayer who has no choice put to pay my fair share, I say: Pay up, Mr. Seaga, pay up. Remember the "Back-Tax-Axe"?

I am etc.,
