The Stella Maris Dance Ensemble

The Stella Maris Dance Ensemble presents its 8th season of dance 'Aola Bisi-African Influences In Dance and Music at Little Theatre start tonight at 8:00 p.m. Other shows are on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Admission is $500.

The Certainty of the Advent

The Meadowvale S.D.A. Church, located at 1-3 Chancery Street, Kingston 19, invites you to their crusade which is held under the theme 'The Certainty of the Advent'. The crusade began on October 5, 2001 and will end on Novenber 4, 2001. The schedule is 7 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays and 9:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

After Work Jam

The Eclipse Night Club will be hosting their 'After Work Jam' today. Musical juggling will be provided by DJs Jazzy Ray, Steve and Shawn. Admission is $200

How Freaky Can You Get II

Chancellor Hall presents the 'Krazy' dress fete 'How Freaky Can You Get II' tomorrow at the Student Union, U.W.I. Featuring musical juggling by Code Red and Firelinks. Admission is $150 in 'Krazy wear', $200 without.

Wine and Cheese Evening

The Rotary Club of Spanish Town will host a 'Wine and Cheese Evening' on Friday, October 12, 2001 at the Liguanea Club, New Kingston. Activities will begin at 7 p.m. There will be an auction of art and a gate prize from Super Clubs Resorts. Proceeds will go towards the club's major project at the Spanish Town Hospital.

'The Chain' and 'Malcouchon'

This years mini-season at the School of Drama, The Chain and Malcouchon will raise their curtains tomorrow at the studio theatres on the campus. The two one-act plays will run for two weekends, from Friday through to Sunday.

Ashcar Consultants Limited will be launching a blood drive dubbed - 'Ashcar Red Christmas Blood Drive' tomorrow at Ashcar Consultants Limited located at 16 West Kings House Road, Kingston 10. The drive will begin at 12 noon and end at 4 p.m.

Fun Day and BBQ

The Hampton Old Girls Association will be hosting a 'Fun Day and BBQ' on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at Hope Gardens, Kingston. There will be games, prizes and surprises. There will also be presentation on Nanny of the Maroons. Admission is $200.

Boomblast 2001

'Boomblast 2001' will be held tomorrow at the Royal Entertainment Centre on Old Harbour Road, Spanish Town. Musical juggling will be provided by Adonai, Amplex and Coppershot. Guest selectors will be DJ Face of Irie FM and Scorpion from One Blood. MC for the event will be Nuffy. Live performances will be given by Boom Dandymite, Danny English, Delly Rans, Merciless, Kip Rich, Bling Dawg, Frisco Kid, General B, Singer J, Mr. Vegas and many more.

Jonkanoo Lounge

The Mature Alternative at the Hilton's Jonkanoo Lounge continues this and every Saturday. Come and enjoy music from the 1980s only. The event begins at 8 p.m. and will continue until you say when. Admission $500.

It's a Party

Love and Unity in the Community, a day and night party, happens at the Come A Mi Lawn, Hamstead, St. Mary, on Saturday, October 13. Wilco Tone Disco will provide the music and there is a Kid's Treat from noon until 6:00 p.m. Adults party in the night. Admission is $50.

Cultural Extravaganza 2001

The Manchioneal Past Student's Association and Friends of the Manchioneal School presents 'Cultural Extravaganza 2001' - a Cultural Concert which will be held on Saturday October 13, 2001 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Manchioneal School in Portland. There will be Brukins, food and drink, Cultural items and T-shirts on sale.

Carifolk Singers

The rescheduled Benefit Performance of the Carifolk Singers will be held on saturday October 13, 2001 beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Sir Phillip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, UWI, Mona. Proceeds are in aid of Lions Club of Mona charities. Ticket holders are reminded that the tickets previously purchased for the original performance are still valid.

Party Time

This and every Saturday Night, Friends on the Deck located at 51 Hope Road, Kingston 10 will host their Saturday Night 'Party Time'. Music will be provided by Errol and special guest selectors.

Saturday's Market

Saturday's Market will be held at 16 Waterloo Road beginning this Saturday, October 13, 2001. There will be food, art and craft exhibition.

Block 24

Probemaster Entertainment in association with the Stella Maris Foundation will be presenting 'Block 24', a special performance to be held at the Stella Maris Church on Sunday October 24, 2001 at 6 p.m. Proceeds are in aid of the Stella Maris Foundation. Admission $500.

Vintage All Day All Nite Jam Session

TJ's Pit Stop Jerk Centre Restaurant and Sports Bar, presents their new weekly session - 'Vintage All Day All Nite Jam Session' beginning Sunday October 14, 2001. The session will get underway at 3 p.m. and will run until you say when. Musical juggling for Sunday October 14, 2001 wil be provided by Tiffany Disco. A Tale of Two Cities
