THE EDITOR, Sir:

SEE WHY it's so easy to despise helpful America? Instead of giving that food, medicine and those blankets to the Red Cross or any of the several other NGOs quietly helping the poor people of Afghanistan, the Americans drop it from the skies like manna from Heaven.
