A busy weekend for Lara

CHAMPION BATSMAN Brian Lara could face a busy weekend as not only will he be required to spearhead Trinidad and Tobago's Red Stripe Bowl charge but he is also down to compete in this weekend's Rothmans Amateur Golf Tournament.

The world record holder for highest Test and first-class scores will be in semi-final action for Trinidad and Tobago today at Kaiser against Barbados .

Tomorrow, a Bowl rest day, he will tee off at the nearby SuperClubs' Runaway Bay course, setting the stage for a busy Sunday should Trinidad win today's semi.

If Trinidad advance, the former West Indian captain would have to request an extremely early tee time to accommodate his golf and cricket commitments on that day.
