Prime Minister's comment was out of place

THE EDITOR, Sir:

JAMAICA IS still a democratic nation. Within that democracy comes a level of freedom that includes freedom of speech. Thus, I found the Prime Minister's comments at a recent function out of place regarding criticism of his recent mini Cabinet reshuffle.

The majority of us love Jamaica, but for the people not to be allowed to express their opinion on his stewardship will have you living in a fool's paradise.

Come now Mr. Patterson, as captain of the team and opening batsman you will not always have a wicket that plays true. At times it might be sticky or of uneven bounce, it is for you to adjust your shots accordingly or you might just end up making a 'pair'.

I am, etc.,

ANDREWSKI
