Alarmed at defence of Isaac

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I NOTE with alarm the vigorous defence of Justice Julius Isaac Chairman of the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry by A.J. Nicholson, Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and Ian Ramsay, Q.C.

If your columnist Dawn Ritch's quotations from the records of the Supreme Court of Canada on the conduct of Justice Isaac as published in your Sunday November 11, 2001 edition are indeed correct, then that is an indictment on Minister Nicholson and Mr Ramsay.

I am, etc.,
