Judges should be vigilant

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS well known that dealing in drugs is carried on by some members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force of all ranks. Also, some of the drug cases that some of these members bring before the Courts are brought maliciously because of dissatisfaction with some transaction.

Some persons have been "framed" and charged because of their refusal to participate in some of these shady transactions.

The Judges of our Courts, an honourable and untarnished set indeed, have to be extremely careful in these days that they do not unknowingly punish people who are wickedly and maliciously charged.

I am, etc.,

JAMES D. FOSTER

Montego Bay
