Congrats for Ossie Clarke's columns

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Quite recently, The Sunday Gleaner's Outlook Magazine published some historical columns on Jamaican pianist, Dr. Don Shirley and the musicians from Alpha Boys School.

These columns written by musicologist/ historian, Ossie Clarke were very educational, bringing to our awareness the greatness of our Jamaican performers who are recognised internationally.

I would like to congratulate Sister Ignatius and Alpha Boys School for having done so much for music internationally.

These columns by Ossie Clarke should be put in the archives for the future generations' knowledge. Congrats to Mr. Clarke and The Gleaner for preserving our history.

I am, etc.,

ERROL SOLOMON
