Vox Pop - Do you believe in the Virgin Birth? Is it still relevant today?
CORPORAL LLOYD FISHER, police officer: Yes, I believe in the virgin birth, as I am a God-fearing person. The virgin birth is significant. Judging by what I have read it has linkages with what is going on today.
CECILIA RAMPAUL, vendor: Yes, I believe in the virgin birth. By teaching the story, it can be helpful to today's youth ... but today the people - dont want to listen. They know what's right but they want to do what's wrong.
DEVON COLAB, security officer: Yes, I believe in the virgin birth, but I don't think it can help Jamaicans because nobody wants to believe in Christ. For the story to help, people must believe in Christ.
HUGH WEDDERBURN, higgler: Yes, the virgin birth can happen. Believe is what everybody is supposed to do. Belief kills, belief cures. If you educate the young people about the virgin birth, I believe it can cut down the careless attitude towards sex and fewer young persons will have sex.
NALECIA CLARKE, student: Yes, God is able to do anything. If He can make us, he can place an embryo in a woman's womb. The story of the virgin birth could teach that sex is not all, especially to young men. If God can do that for Mary, then He can do that for any other woman.
GORDON DENNIS, vendor: No, I do not believe in the virgin birth. I can't really give a reason.
